Summer Lessons & Fall Blessings
August 2026
Can you believe we're already heading toward fall? The stores are already filling up with pumpkin spice and football season is almost here! I am sooo excited.
As the seasons begin to change, I've been reflecting on a few lessons this year that have reminded me that life moves quickly and it's important to pause, look around, and appreciate how far we've come.
3 Lessons I am taking away from my reflection:
1. Things Don't Always Happen on Our Schedule
If there's one thing I've learned, it's that life has a way of unfolding in its own time.
What feels like a setback is actually setting us up for something even better. Looking back, many of my greatest accomplishments arrived when I least expected them and when something that was comfortable changes.
Change is the only constant in life and embracing change rather than fighting it where the magic happens
2. Confidence Comes from Within
Don't get me wrong, I love a great lipstick and a fabulous skincare routine!
True confidence isn't found in a bottle or a compact. It comes from healing and embracing who you are, celebrating your strengths, and giving yourself grace on those hard days.
3. Small Steps Count
We often celebrate big wins; however real growth happens in the little moments.
One healthy choice. One kind word. One goal completed. One day at a time.
Small steps add up to big changes.
The older I get, the more I appreciate simple joys.
A good cup of coffee. Time with friends. A beautiful sunrise and sunset. A good belly laugh that makes you cry.
Those moments are often the memories that stay with us.
Looking Ahead
As summer fades into fall, I'm excited for fresh possibilities, new goals, and all the blessings a new season can bring.
Whatever this next chapter holds, I hope we all move forward with confidence, gratitude, and excitement for what's around the corner.
And yes, I fully plan to enjoy some pumpkin spice lattes and lots of football along the way.
Thank you for being part of my journey. I'm grateful for every one of you.
With love,
Mary K

Knowing When to Say Yes
Knowing When to Say Yes: Pivoting from BestAndBeautifulYou.com to LadyMaryK.com
July 2026
One thing I’ve learned recently is the power of knowing when to pivot. Not because something isn’t working, because something new is ready to grow. When that moment shows up, you have to be willing to say yes.
That’s exactly why I’m transitioning from BestAndBeautifulYou.com to LadyMaryK.com.
BestAndBeautifulYou.com has been a meaningful part of my journey. It helped me encourage, build confidence, and create a positive space for beauty and empowerment for others. As my brand evolved, I realized it no longer reflected the direction I’m stepping into. I needed a platform that felt more aligned with who I am today — and where I’m going next.
Earlier this year, I introduced Mary K with Avon, a fresh, modern identity that instantly felt right when my friend and business partner Jen suggested it to me. It was the first sign that my brand was shifting into something more personal and more recognizable.
Then a few months ago LadyMaryK.com was the natural next step.
It elevates the “Mary K with Avon” identity and gives it a home that’s polished, confident, and future‑focused. It allows me to expand my voice, strengthen my brand, and create a space that reflects who I’ve become. This pivot isn’t about leaving something behind — it’s about aligning everything forward.
BestAndBeautifulYou.com served its purpose. LadyMaryK.com serves my potential.
Thank you for supporting my journey. This new chapter is bold, exciting, and exactly where I’m meant to be.

My 20 Year Avon Journey
My 20-Year Avon Journey: A Story of Strength, Community, and Becoming Who I Am
June 2026
Twenty years ago, on June 22nd, 2006, in a Tempe, Arizona Starbucks, I said yes to something small — a simple Avon opportunity, a little starter kit, and a quiet hope that maybe this could become something meaningful. I had no idea that “yes” would lead me into a journey filled with growth, resilience, and experiences that would shape the woman I am today.

My Avon story hasn’t been perfect — it has been real. There were seasons when everything flowed effortlessly. The team was thriving, customers were excited, and I felt unstoppable. Then there were the harder seasons… the ones that tested my patience, my confidence, and my willingness to keep going. Team changes. Corporate changes. Life happening behind the scenes. Times when I had to rebuild from the ground up. Those moments taught me patience, perseverance, and the power of believing in myself even when things felt uncertain. Moments when I wondered if I still had that spark.
Every challenge has taught me something. Every setback pushed me to grow. Every comeback reminded me that I was stronger than I realized. That’s the beauty of this business — it stretches you; it humbles you, and then it lifts you higher than ever before.
And the travel… that’s a chapter in itself. Avon has taken me to places where I once only dreamed of — beaches, cities, celebrations where I felt seen, appreciated, and celebrated. Those trips were not simply vacations; they were proof that dedication creates opportunity. They were reminders that ordinary women and men can build extraordinary lives when they refuse to give up.
One of the greatest gifts Avon has given me wasn’t the awards or the travel — it was the community. The friendships. The women and men who became family. The ones who cheered with me, cried with me, and grew with me. The ones who reminded me why I started and why I’m still here.
Twenty years later, I’m still leading, I’m still learning, I’m still believing, and I’m very grateful. This journey has shaped my confidence, my purpose, and my heart. And the best part? I know I’m not done yet.
Here’s to the next 20 years of Mary K with Avon — more impact, more travel, more leadership, and more lives touched through this beautiful Avon journey.

Taking My Power Back
Building Better Habits – Taking My Power Back
May 2026
I wanted to check in with a quick update on my health journey. After navigating those 2 skin cancer procedures back in December, my body has given me a few more things to focus on: Type 2 Diabetes and high cholesterol.

I’ll be honest, it’s a lot to manage at once. I’ve come to realize that these diagnoses don't define me—they simply change my "to-do" list. My new routine is straightforward: I’m being much more mindful of the carbs and sugars I’m taking in, medication, and I’m making sure I get my body moving every day. Whether it’s a walk, a quick ride on my stationary bike, or getting up more often, I’m finding that movement is great for my mood and my numbers.
I found a surprising fact while doing research…. While we often feel like the United States is at the center of the health struggle, we actually rank #3 globally for the number of people with diabetes. China is #1, and India is #2. Knowing there are millions of people around the world making these same choices every day makes the journey feel a little less heavy.
I’m still the same person I was in November—now, a new version that’s a bit more aware and a lot more active. I’m healing, I’m moving, and I’m taking it one day at a time.
What’s one simple thing you do for your health that makes you feel the most "in control"?

Meet Mary K with Avon
20 Years, Two Names, and One Big Pivot: Meet "Mary K with Avon"

They say life is a journey of "pivots," and as I hit my 20th year in my Avon business, I’m taking my biggest turn yet.

The Story Behind the Name
When I started this Avon journey in 2006, I was Mary Halsey. In 2013, I became Mary Kominska after finally saying "yes" to my husband, Scott. (Fun fact: He actually proposed in 1987, and I said no! Proof that some of the best things in life—and business—take time and the right timing.)
The Rebrand: Mary K with Avon
I am celebrating two decades of beauty, I’m leaning into the name I was born to have. I’m officially rebranding as Mary K with Avon.
I’m the "Mary" you’ve trusted for 20 years, simply with a fresh vision and that signature Avon glow. This "pivot" is about honoring my history while stepping boldly into the future.
Why Pivot Now?
After 20 years, I’ve learned that if you aren't growing, you’re standing still.
My 2026 Pivot means:
More Energy: A refreshed commitment to my customers.
More Expertise: Two decades of beauty knowledge at your service.
The Same Heart: I’m still the same Mary, simply more "me" than ever.
I am excited to show you what’s next!
